For equity and fairness, let Ijaw occupy the governorship seat– Ozobo appeals to Urhobo nation

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, foremost Ijaw youth leader and Niger Delta rights activist Comrade Ozobo Austin has urged Urbobo nation to support Ijaw governorship come 2023, adding that It was unfair for Urbobo to occupy the governor seat for the very third time when a critical stakeholders like Ijaw was yet to taste it for the very first time.

This was contained in a press statement signed by himself and sent to Congress correspondent in Warri Delta state on Saturday.

According Ozobo, for equity and all fairness Urbobo who had produced Felix Ibru and James Ibori as democratic governors in Delta state, should allow Ijaw who has not worn the crown to wear it.

He asserted that Urhobo should wait till 2031 after Ijaw may have occupied the governorship seat for the very first time in the state.

Ozobo said Urbobo should compliments Ijaw’s strong support for Ibru and Ibori administrations in Delta state.

“If it is true that we are Urbobo brothers, they should allow their brothers to occupy the governor seat, having ruled the state for two separate times”, he added.
