Following the resolve by Egbema leaders and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to converge at a mega rally in Warri City, on Monday 14, no fewer than 10 patriots of Izon struggle have commended the move, describing it as historic and salutary.
The patriots which included social activist Comr. Ozobo Austin and seasoned IYC leader, Comr. Razak Amatoru had also indicated interest to grace the occasion, adding that unless Egbema takes its place in the center of Warri North and Warri federal constituency politics, the Izon struggle would not be completed.
The patriots who urged Egbema leaders to remain focused and steadfast cautioned against politics of division and animosity.
In related development, a stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party and House of Representatives aspirant in Warri Federal Constituency, Napoleon Egin Esq, has charged Nigerians to keep all hope alive, adding that the electoral process is undergoing an evolution that will bring about sanity in our electioneering and such would throw up most competent public office holders.
The call was made in a TV programme in Warri Delta State on Friday, March 3, 2022. The aspirant expressed optimism that the current judicial intervention in cases of political defection would ultimately ensure in favour of the masses, stating that such moves would strengthen party democracy and loyalty in the end.
