Delta LG Poll: Ozobo Meets Fmr Council chairman, Orouna, appeals for support

Foremost activist with vast experience, Comrade Ozobo Austin who is aspiring for the chairman of Burutu Local Government Council has consulted the former Burutu council boss, Mrs Felicia Orouna and appealed for unalloyed support for his ambition.

The visit which was done on Friday, was to equally intimate the former council boss of his blueprint and other sundry issues millitating against rapid and vast development in the Burutu council area.

Speaking at the visit, the eloquent chairman ( in view) emphasising on the need for good health care services, overhauling both primary and secondary schools in the council area so to compete with others in the upland.

He told the Fmr Council chairman that when he is elected, women and youths empowerment would be prioritised, coupled with provision of soft loan for small and medium businesses.

Ozobo said when he is elected the leadership, past LGA and Party chairmen needs would be prioritised and the elders welfare would be taken serious.

He talked about providing fishing nets and boat for community fisher men and women when elected.

According to him, it was a high time all hands should be on deck to positively engage the teeming youths of the LGA, to reduce crime, which invariably would increase the labour force.

He also maintained that water and light would be prioritised among Burutu and its communities.

In response, the former council boss commended Ozobo for the selfless contributions in the struggle for better Ijaw nation and Niger Delta at large.

She affirmed that Ozobo is a known identity beyond the Burutu Local Government Council area, adding that his services to Burutu and Ijaw nation would be rewarded.

Orouna admonished that Ozobo had nothing to fear, being the fact that all Burutu leaders are aware of his contributions to Ijaw nation.

She further emphasised that Burutu leadership rewards genuine service, stressing that he should hold onto God, and be optimistic of victory.

The Fmr Council boss prayed for him for God divine grace and support, appealing that he should remember his promises when the victory comes.
