Delta Police Arrest Suspected Child Traffickers, Rescue 3-Year-Old Child

The men of Nigeria Police, Delta State command have apprehended one suspected child 38-year-old child trafficker simply identified as Mohammed Isah.

According to a statement signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, one Aisha Yusuf, a resident of Abraka community Asaba, reported at the station about her son, Abubakar Atiku, who was stolen by Mohammed Isah.

Following the development, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abbas ordered his men to go on a rescue mission.

However, the security operatives stormed Abraka market and the principal suspect was nabbed.

During interrogation, he confessed to the crime which led to the arrest of other three gang members of the child trafficking syndicate.

They are, Ibrahim Sani, Kabiru Ibrahim, and Abubakar Mohammed.

It was stated that they all belong to a child trafficking syndicate that steals children and sells them for a huge amount of money.

However, the police led the suspect to a hotel in Onitsha Anambra state, where one Suleiman Mohammed was apprehended, whose custody the missing child was found.

It was maintained that the suspect was waiting for the supposed buyer of the child at the rate of N800,000.

However, the suspects are in the police net as Investigation is ongoing.
