A man alleged to be a notorious criminal has reportedly joined the Nigeria Police Force as a constable months after being declared wanted by the Kano state police commissioner.

Nasiru Abdullahi, popularly known as Chile Maidoki, was seen in trending pictures with a senior police officer at a Police College and Training School.

According to Sahara Reporters, the suspect is among the 10,000 police constabularies undergoing a six-month-long training exercise to enhance community policing across the country.

In August, the Kano state police commissioner declared Abdullahi and two other notorious criminals wanted with a bounty of N100,000 placed on each of them.

It is unclear how Abdullahi was able to join the police force despite being wanted by the police. The police force has not yet stated the matter.

However, the news of Abdullahi’s joining the police force has sparked outrage among Nigerians, who are calling for a thorough investigation into the matter.
