Delta Police Nab Suspected Child Traffickers, Rescue 2-Year-Old Child

The men of Nigeria police force, Delta state police command has nabbed two suspected child traffickers, simply identified as Sa’ad Ahmad Baba, and Halima Abubakar.

According to a statement signed by DSP Bright Edafe, Delta state Police Public Relations Officer, the alleged criminals were apprehended based on intelligence led investigation.

Edafe stated that the command received information from a resident of Jaret in Asaba that on August 2, her child Ridwan Ibrahim , 2- year- old went missing while playing with other children in the compound of her sister whom she went to visit.

The police spokesman said, “Following this information received by the police, the Commissioner of Police Delta state CP, Wale Abass , embarked on an intelligence investigation.

The team swung into action which led to apprehending of the two suspects, Ahmed Baba, 57 years and Halima Abubakar, female, 25 years.

However, the child was rescued at Issele Asagba where they hid the child.

CP Wale Abass urged parents and guardians to be cautious and pay close attention to their children and wards in other not to fall victim.
