Sheriff Oborewori to include the youths the distribution of Subsidy palliative in the state.

He, however, cited the increasing crime rate to be as result of high rate of Unemployment, Moral degradation, Illiteracy, Poor pedigree, immoral values orientation, and other forms of illegalities among the youths, which had major negative impact on the overall growth and development of Delta State, and Nigeria at large.

The body which provides opportunity for Delta Youth Leaders to come together under one umbrella to liaise with Government, Security agencies, Traditional rulers, Non-governmental Organizations, and other relevant Stakeholders in and outside Delta State with the aim of promoting Peace, Unity, Security, Economic Stability, and all-round Development in the Delta State, and Nigeria at Large.

In a statement signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Gometi O Crested, reads; “one of the main objectives of this noble body is to bring violence youths from the street into meaningful and productive services through constructive engagement, and we are commited to this with the target of redeeming the bad image outsiders placed on the youths of Delta State, whereby creating Conducive environment for social-economic growth and stability in the state.
However, we are faced with several constraints, especially in the area of youths inclusiveness in job creation and empowerments.

His words, “They say, “an idol mind is devil’s workshop” Many youths has been deceived into different forms of illegalities due to the high level of hunger and hardship in the current society, and the outcome is not healthy for the general public.

“I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Rt Hon Sherrif Oborevwori for the palliatives intervention across the state, it’s highly commendable.

“We wish to seek His kind and Fatherly attention to please include the teeming youths in the street that are not affected by salary increment and other means by which others may benefit from the ongoing palliatives intervention.

“The current cost of living has left so many youths stranded and confused not knowing where/who to run to for survival, and a support through the ongoing palliatives intervention would go a long way in restoring the hope of the million youths in the street.

“We are non-violence body working tirelessly to create an enabling environment for our Excellency to smoothly achieve the MORE agenda and we would not hesitate to do anything within our capacity to create a conducive environment for Deltans to live in, and also attract local and international Investors to the state.

“We have made-up our minds to support the government, Security agencies and other relevant stakeholders in and outside Delta State to create an enviable atmosphere to attract local and international Investors into the state, and Nigeria at large.

“We therefore call on His Excellency, Rt Hon Sherrif Oborevwori, our Boss to please consider us, the teeming youths in the street for the ongoing palliatives intervention.

“We are hopeful that Delta State would be an enviable state in his time, and we would do our best to bring about achieving the MORE agenda”.
