Female candidate for governor of Edo 2024, Dr. Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor, has pushed for women’s participation in partisan politics.
Loretta bemoaned that many Nigerian women were at the back door during election season. Loretta is running for the state’s top job on the Labour Party ticket.
The candidate asserts that it is time for women to assume leadership roles in politics.
This was said by Oduware Ogboro-Okor on Monday at the LP secretariat in Benin, not long after she publicly announced her desire to run for the Edo 2024 governorship.
“A lot of women are always at the back door, it is time we took our place in the political space; we have to be at the table, so that we can shake it.
“We thank all our fathers who are standing with us to bring light to the state, we are happy that our fathers are ready to support us,” she added.
