Eid-El-Fitr: Police Beef Up Security In Delta

Ahead of the 2024 Eid-El-Fitr celebration, the Delta State police command has deployed personnel across the state.
The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi extended his heart-warmed felicitation to all the Muslim faithfuls and urged the Command to keep up its efforts in curbing criminality in the State.

According to a press statement signed by Police Public relations officer ANIPR FCIA FIPMD, SP Bright Edafe, Delta State Command Asaba, on 9th April 2024, the command will enhance public safety and security across the State during the Eid-El-fitr celebration.

Meanwhile, the CP gave the assurance while charging the Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in the Command to brace up extra security architecture and most effective policing during this Eid-el-fitr celebration and after.

However, CP Abaniwonda extended his warmest felicitation to all the Muslim Ummah residents in the state who are celebrating this auspicious occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Fitr.

The CP noted that Eid is the epitome of collective happiness in this month of Ramadan bliss, blessings and therefore, learn to shun all religious differences but stoop to promote peace and harmony with affirmative extension of love and affection according to Allah’s teachings.

The statement reads, “The CP has deployed officers of the command to all Muslim worship centers, length and breadth of the state, securing lives and properties, maintaining peace and order as a mandate. He urge members of the public to continue to assist and collaborate with the police and other security agencies to enable them to serve the good people of the state better.

He admonished them to be security conscious, law abiding and take appropriate measures towards personal protection and public safety such as markets, worship centres, shopping malls and highways.

“On behalf of the State Command, the Commissioner of Police wishes all Muslims faithful a happy and peaceful Eid-El-fitr celebration”.
