The Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State on political matters, Mr. Ekanpou Eneweridideke has announced the postponement of his mother’s burial to January 21, 2023, due to the effects of the unprecedented floods of 2022 across the riverine communities of the state.

This was contained in a post he made on his Facebook handle on Friday morning.

According to him, the family had decided to postpone the funeral rites of MRS TIMIEBI MAIKA EKANPOU due to the flood situation in the Burutu Local Government Area and other parts of the country.

POSTPONEMENT OF MRS TIMIEBI MAIKA EKANPOU’S FINAL BURIAL RITES TO 21 JANUARY 2023…

Because the arrogant flood has not rounded off her seasonal journey, still sitting ‘Yemeni’ over every available land space, the final burial rites of Mrs. Timiebi Maika Ekanpou will now take place on 21 JANUARY, 2023.
