Emefiele Arraigned On Fresh Count-Charge

The former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele is currently at Ikeja High Court in Lagos for his arraignment.

Congress news learnt that the controversial former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria is being prosecuted for alleged abused of his office and arrogated to himself billions of dollars.

Emefiele and his co-defendant, Henry Isioma Omole, are considered to be arraigned on 26 fresh counts charges before Justice Rahman Oshodi on Monday (today).

In the charge marked ID/23787c/2024 and dated April 3, 2024, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, alleged that Emefiele misused and abused his office between 2022 and 2023.
