Evah To Honour Ngbilebiri Monarch With Football Tournament At Funeral Rites August 12-18

A football tournament organised by Comrade Joseph Evah, a renowned Niger Delta activist and philanthropist, is underway in honor of the late HRM Bigborogha II, JP, RFMIL, S.H, Perekeme, Pere of Ngbilebiri-Mein Kingdom during the final passage rights of the departed Monarch in Kiagbodo, traditional headquarters of the Ngbilebiri-mein Kingdom. The tournament, which will commence on August 12, 2024, features four teams: Omolo, Kiagbodo, Ayakoromo, and Aparemo community.

The schedule of matches is as follows:

– August 12, 2024: Omolo vs Kiagbodo (4 pm)
– August 13, 2024: Ayakoromo vs Aparemo community (4 pm)
– August 14, 2024: Bigborogha vs Oyangbene community (4 pm)
– August 15, 2024: Third-place match (4 pm) featuring the three losing teams
– August 16, 2024: Final match (10 pm) between the top three match qualifiers

Evah, known for his advocacy for good governance and his contributions to the Niger Delta region, has been described as a great blessing to the region.

However, the tournament is part of the final burial rites for the late Pere of Ngbilebiri-Mein Kingdom.

The Ngbilebiri clan chapter of the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC has vowed to join hands with Evah to ensure the tournament is successful and peaceful.
