Ex-Matawalle’s Deputy Governor Emerges ADC Governorship Candidate in Zamfara

The African Democratic Congress ADC Governorship primary election of Zamfara state Namadi Musa has described the exercise as hit free.

Namadi Musa declared former Deputy Governor, Barrister Mahadi Aliyu Gusau as the winner of the ADC primary in Zamfara state, held at Gusau Command Guests House, Unguwar Gwaza Gusau.

The ADC primary election chairman said, the election was conducted across 147 ward of the state despite security challenges.

“No report of thuggery, things went successfully across 147 wards in Zamfara.

“No riot, protest or molestation of our party members. Namadi said.

Namadi Musa also said, three aspirants kinley contested at the Governorship primary election which includes, Malan Shehu Ahmed Isah who scored 7,642 votes, Malan Abdulmudalib Muhammad Ahmad 15,092 while

Barrister Mahadi Aliyu Gusau emerged winner with 35,665 votes.

“By the power vested on me as the chairman of ADC Zamfara Governorship primary elections, I am here by declaring Alhaji Mahadi Aliyu as the winner for the Gobernotorial primary election. Namadi declared.

Speaking on behalf of the ADC flag bearer, Umar Aminu Gusau accepted the outcome and assured to struggle all out for the ADC victory in Zamfara state.

The chairman of the ADC primary elections, Namadi Musa further announced the winners of the Senatorial, Houses of representatives and state Assemblies seat.

“The Senatorial, House of Representatives and state assemblies winners were all declared at their respective constituencies except Maru/Bungudu which is still vacant.

“Probably for the purpose of the media we will announce the rest of the contestants but primarily we are only to announce the Governorship election of Zamfara state here. Namadi said.

The Zamfara North Senatorial ticket was championed by Alhaji Shehu .S Rafi, Central Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Sale and Western senatorial zone given Dr. Mika’ilu Ibrahim Barau.

The Zurmi/Shinkafi federal Constituency was given to Alhaji Nura Muhammad, Isiyaka Ibrahim Anka emerge winner of Anka/ Talata Mafara and Kaura/Birnin Magaji was championed by Alhaji Bashir Abubakar and Bakura/Maradun, Ziya’ul Haq Muhammad Mustafa was the flag bearer, Gummi/Bukuyum, Hon. Umar .A Faru and Gusau/Tsafe, Abubakar Abdullahi while Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency remain vacant.

“Almost 90 percent of the 24 state Assembly seats we applied a consensus pattern but despite that elections were held at state Assembly constituencies. Namadi said.

The Zamfara State ADC chairman Shehu Mai shanu upheld the efforts of the state primary elections committee for their sacrifices.

“The way and manner you Man the processes up to where we are here for declaration, I will assure you that, the sacrifices you make will not be in vain. Mai shanu said.
