Fatal accident kills 20 in Kaduna

About twenty passengers were killed on Tuesday in a fatal road accident in Kaduna state.

The incident occurred when the bus they were travelling with crashed into a stationary BUA Cement trailer around 5 a.m in the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.

However, the State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Hafiz Muhammad, who confirmed the road accident, added that the driver could be on a nap as he was driving in the night.

He maintained, “The bus crashed into a BUA Cement trailer and then went into flames. 22 people were on the bus among them 17 male adults, 2 women and a minor.

“They said the trailer was parked when the bus went under it. It was terrible. We always caution bus drivers against night journeys,” he noted.
