Fatal auto crash burns 16 to death in Osun

Sixteen persons including five children have been burnt to death in fatal road crash after two vehicles collided at Ode-Omu along Gbongan-Osogbo road on Friday evening.

The ugly incident reportedly involved a Lexus car coming from the Gbongan axis and a commercial bus heading towards Gbongan from Osogbo.

According to eyewitnesses, the two vehicles collided and the bus veered off the road somersaulting before it caught fire.

The incident has been attributed to high-speeding by both drivers of two cars.

The State command of FRSC officials have confirmed the incident at press time.

The source said others who survived the incident had been admitted in an hospital in the state, adding that burnt corpses had been evacuated to the morgue in the state.
