Fatal boat accident kills one, injures two in Warri

A fatal boat accident has claimed one life and injured about two passengers in Warri River on Friday night.

The incident occurred at about 7:30pm when a 200 horse power speed boat heading to Kunukunuama for funeral ceremony rammed into a heavy duty local boat at Okerenkoko Warri River.

A close source said the speed boat immediately capsized, killing one and about two got injured in the ill-fated incident.

However, the body of the deceased person is yet to be recovered from the river.
