Regarding the ongoing nationwide strike, the Nigerian federal government and the executives of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, are currently in meeting.
The meeting is reportedly being held at the National Security Adviser, NSA,s office.

The Minister of Labor Simon Bako Lalong, the Minister of State Hon. Nkeiruka Onyeajeocha, and the National Security Advisor Nuhu Ribadu are present.

Labour leaders led by NLC Secretary General Emmanuel Ugboaja, TUC President Comrade Festus Osifo, and other labour leaders are also present.

Remember that the National Labor Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) had called for a nationwide walkout, demanding the apprehension of the alleged thugs and their backers.

This occurs a few days after the NLC president was attacked on November 1 in the state capital of Owerri, Imo State, during a protest by state employees over unpaid salaries.
