The Afiesere community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State has been reportedly submerged following a heavy downpour on Saturday.

It was gathered that the popular Afiesere road was among other roads that were heavily flooded on Saturday.

A resident who spoke with Congress newspaper said the entire roads in the community are in a deplorable state.

He lamented, “Congress as I speak to you, motorists and Okada operators are suffering in this city(Ughelli) due to bad roads.

“All the link roads in Ughelli are bad but nobody talks about it. Ughelli North politicians and leaders, God dey see una o.” He queried.

The residents, however, called on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Ovie Omo -Agege and other stakeholders to fix the roads in the community.
