Fulani gunmen kidnap mother, two daughters in Abuja

Suspected Fulani bandits have abducted a mother and two daughters in Pegi, Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

An eyewitness, Mr. Segun Ore, said the incident occurred at about 11pm on Sunday.

The Chairman Pegi Community Development Association (PECDA), Mr. Taiwo Aderibigbe, also confirmed the incident.

Lamenting, Aderibigbe said the kidnappers jumped through the fence and broke the lock of their burglary door, gained access to the house and kidnapped Mrs. Oladapo Bukola, ’45’; her two daughters, Miss Oladapo Glory ’17’ and Miss Oladapo Moyo ’14’.

Pastor Gabriel Oladapo, who is the husband to the kidnap woman and father of the two daughters said he was out of Abuja when the incident occurred.

Aderibigbe, angrily told newsmen that the incidents of kidnapping in the area, which according to him is becoming rampant and getting out of hand.

He called on the security agencies to come to the rescue of the residents, who are living in perpetual fear.

He stated: “At about 11:15 pm I got a call from one the zonal leader of the community, that assailants have invaded the premises of Pastor Gabriel Oladapo and abducted his wife and two children.

“It is quite worrisome, that Pegi, Kuje, is being targeted by kidnappers and security agencies are not doing much.

“It is worrisome that the kidnap incidence ravaging our community is yet to be crushed by the tactical and professional security personnel. We are calling on all and sundry to come to our aid”.
