Governor Makinde Officially Receives Rescued Abducted Victims in Ibadan

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State officially received the victims recently rescued from the abductors’ den following their release after weeks in captivity.
The reception ceremony, held in Ibadan, brought together government officials, security agencies, traditional rulers and family members, who gathered to welcome the victims back to safety. Governor Makinde commended the security agencies for their professionalism, courage and commitment in securing the victims’ freedom.
The governor expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all security operatives involved in the rescue operation, describing the successful mission as a testament to the effectiveness of collaboration among security agencies.
Governor Makinde assured the rescued victims and their families of the Oyo State Government’s support, including medical care, psychological counselling and rehabilitation to help them recover from the traumatic experience.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening security across Oyo State, noting that the government would continue to work closely with security agencies to protect lives and property and ensure that criminal elements have no hiding place.
The rescued victims and their families expressed appreciation to the Federal and Oyo State Government, as well as the security agencies, for their relentless efforts that led to their safe return.
