Group Kicks Against Fuel Hikes, Hoarding

Following the statement by Nigeria president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on subsidy removal and confirmation from Nigeria National Petroleum Company, NNPC on increasing of pump price, the Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has kicked against the hoarding and hike of petroleum across the country.

According to a statement by Mark Adedayo, the group Spokesperson, he stated that the hike and hoarding are not necessary, as the act is evil and inhuman.

He said that the 2023 budget still had space for subsidies up to the end od June 2023.

Mark maintained that Petroleum marketer used the president speech as an opportunity to cheat Nigerian citizens

The group described the president statement concerning subsidy removal as a communication error, and disappointing.

Mark maintained that since the 2023 budget still take care of subsidy till the end of June, he asserted that the newly elected president should had keep quit on it instead of causing Nigerians unnecessary hardship.
