PAP: Jonathan In Trouble Over Diversion Of Fund For Ex-Agitators Training

Over diversion of fund meant for training of ex-Niger Delta agitators, the anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has apprehended Ngozi Jonathan-Omo.

Jonathan Ngozi who was the Managing Director of Zeenel Concepts, was nabbed by EFCC for diverting One hundred and five million meant to train ex-agitators in various activities.

The anti-graft agency stated that in year 2017, Jonathan Ngozi was awarded a contract under the Presidential Amnesty Programme ( PAP ) to train over hundred Niger Delta youths of Bayelsa state indigenes.

The contract which is worth Three million, five hundred thousand naira per person was awarded to Ngozi at the total sum of Three hundred and fifty million naira.

The anti-graft agency maintained that Ngozi diverted the sum of N105,000,000 which is part of the money meant for the empowerment to her private account.

It was reported that after Ngozi collected a whopping sum of N175,000,000, as the coordinator of Achievers Farm Nigeria Limited, she abandoned the project.

However, the anti graft agency maintained that Ngozi offence is contrary to section 1(1)(a) of the advance fee and other fraud related crime of 2006.

Jonathan Ngozi was then arraigned before Justice B.O Quadri of the Federal High Court in Yenegoa, Bayelsa state.
