You Can Be Expelled From PDP, Court Tells Wike

Following the anti-party activities of former Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, the Federal High Court in Abuja has told him that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP had the right to expel him.

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja said that in accordance to the law, the political group, PDP had the right to expel or suspend the former governor.

In a judgement delivered by justice James Omotosho, he maintained that in a suit filed by Wike to seek court order to stop PDP from suspending, the justice ruled that the party have the right to suspend him.

Recall, during the 2023 presidential election campaign, due to anti-party activities of former Rivers State Governor, Wike, suspected that the party might fired him, so he went to the court to seek court order to stop the party from suspending him.

However, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP lawyer, Johnson Usman asserted that the party had not contemplated on suspending any of the G5 Governors who worked against the party during the presidential election.
