Hip-Pop Dollar-Girl to Drop Hit Track “Sele” On Sept 26, In Warri

A popular female Ijaw born hip-pop artist, social media influencer, South-South Dance Hall queen also known as the Dollar Girl has dropped a single trailblazing soundtrack titled “Sele” (Moni).

 

However, the Ayakoromo/Odimodi born celebrity, said “I decided to drop this little nicely blended native and English album, Sele is to spice my die hard fans, especially, my Ijaw extraction to preserve and rekindle our language for posterity sake

 

Meanwhile, she noted that “Sele means money in ljaw language, the song is in a way to encourage those who had worked hard but never achieved their life expectations to cheer up and enjoy the spur of the moment despite the situation they are passing through.

 

The song admonishes self-reflection, recognizes the social cost of wealth accumulation in the society and also considers whether you are poor or super rich, the end product is death, adding that the rich should end the exploitation and oppression of the poor.

 

Dollar Girl also urged the poor not to give up rather than give thanks to God and live the life like a wealthy man or woman in the society provided there is life there is hope and things will get better in the near future.

 

Thematically, the song passes a clear message to the rich in the society to fear God, show love to the needy and support those who are struggling to earn a living.

 

She noted that God created a peaceful world for humans to live in harmony but the wicked people and jealous ones are making it look like a wicked world.

 

“The song further admonishes society not to kill or betray fellow human beings to make money or acquire wealth because everything in life is vanity upon vanity.

 

She also emphasized that no matter the wealth and properties one acquired in life, one day you may die and leave them behind.

 

While encouraging the poor not to listen to gossip neither insult from the rich, stressing that life is turn by turn and therefore one day your hardship will turn to joy at God’s appointed time.

 

She urged the poor to put on their dancing shoes and dance to the melody of her rhythms, stressing that the problem of life would not end, therefore enjoying yourself to forge ahead.

 

“In the concluding part of the song, the artist expressed appreciation to the High Chief. Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, Alaowei Promise Lawuru, Amb. Capt. Para, Engr. Michael Tonlagha, Newworld Ndoro, MC See Me Laff, MC Akpolokpolo , MC Abioka and others to keep doing their philanthropic gestures in the society, praying to God to shower them more blessings beyond human expectations.
