How a landlady killed tenant in Ondo

A woman ’45’ has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing her tenant in Ondo State.

The landlady known as Folasade was reportely to have had a fight with her tenant, one Mrs Omolola Oladipupo and allegedly hit the deceased on the head with an object and pushed her to fall on the floor.

Congress reports that the incident happened on Tuesday at Taotao street, Lotogbe area of Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of the state.

Narrating the ordeal, the husband of the deceased, Oladipupo Ikudabo said: “I heard that my wife said she wanted to pass and that the landlady should remove her pot from where she was cooking on the way where we pass to the kitchen.

“Before I would come out of the house, my landlady had pushed my wife on the floor. When I saw her condition, I quickly rushed her to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.

The accussed, also narrated that, the deceased held her wrapper and removed it after she made attempts to cross her food.

She said was infuriated by the action of her tenant and she pushed the tenant and she fell on the floor.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Fumilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident, said investigation had commenced on the matter.

The police spokesperson stated that the corpse of the deceased tenant has been deposited at the morgue in a general hospital in the state.
