How NPA went up in flames in Delta

Nigeria Port Authority Warri, Delta State went up in flames on Sunday, destroying properties worth millions of naira.

The incident which occurred on Sunday night at about 10pm razed the waterfront of the NPA yard, destroying buildings and other properties.

There are varying accounts on the mysterious fire that gutted the popular NPA yard in Warri on Sunday.

A source said the fire emanated from a building in the area which was suspected to be used in storing petroleum products.

Another account maintained, it was electric spark that led to the fire outbreak in the area.

However, a boat driver in the area who gave his name as Isaac said the fire razed several high power boats, jet, buildings and other properties.

He narrated that the Delta State fire service could not intervene to arrest the situation.
