If Youths Are Lagging, No Country Can Develop – Minister

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hon. Sadiya Umar Farouq, has stated that no country can move forward if its youths are lagging.
According to a statement during the Empowerment of 60 Youths organized by the Citizens’ Health Education and Development Initiative, the minister maintained that the importance of youth empowerment couldn’t be overemphasized.
The minister asserted that by empowering the youth, it will create a sense of responsibility and leadership skills.
Farouk maintained that society would be secured when the youths were empowered, adding that empowered youth is always passionate and dedicated towards their work and society.
However, the minister urged the beneficiaries of the empowerment to help their peers in skills building, so that they call all become financially independent.
