The Traditional ruler, HRM Pere (Dr) Ekioemi Oweiagbe John, Gbesa 1, Ebenanaowei of Operemor Kingdom has debunked alleged restrained order cited in a publication issued by Mr Newstyle Ogiren on Friday evening.

This was contained in a statement signed by the director of Media to the king HRM Oweiagbe of Operemor Kingdom, Mr Ndoni Timipere which a copy was sent to Congress correspondent in Warri, Delta State on Friday night.

The statement titled “DISREGARD MISCHIEVOUS STATEMENT AND CHARACTER ASSASSINATION AGAINST OUR REVERED KING” said: “We are constrained to respond to a frivolous petition forwarded to the governor of Delta State His Excellency, Sheriff Oborewori by Mr. Egiren Newstyle who also contested the Operemor Kingship Stool but lost to the successor, HRM King(Dr) Ekioemi Oweiagbe John, Gbesa 1, Ebenanaowei of Operemor Kingdom, demanding the removal of the revered Monarch from the State Government constituted Subsidy Palliative Distribution Committee in Burutu, citing a non-existing court order of restraining the State Government from having dealings with him.

The statement further stated, “To us, that is unfounded and a figment of the imagination of enemies of the kingdom, trying to execute what does not emanated from the Court of law to deceive the appropriate authorities and the general public to gain cheap popularity as well infringe on the personal rights of the Royal Father by way of assassinating his integrity and sound public records”.

He explained, “The said restrained order of the Court only granted stoppage of financial benefits of loyalties and allowances due to the Monarch from the Delta State Government, pending determination of the suit in question. Though, we have objectively countered it to be struck out as it is window shopping. This
particular order has nothing to do with the traditional functions of the monarch which remain recognized”.

“Therefore, the Delta State Government should jettison this character assassination and daylight perversion of justice ventured by the so called petitioner who is only venting over his failure to ascend to the Royal Throne of Operemor Kingdom”, he added.
