INC President Charges Ijaw Women Rights’ Protection Forum on Unity, Inclusiveness

The President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), High Chief Macedonald Ebi Igbadiwei, has urged the Ijaw Women Rights’ Protection Forum (IWRPF) to remain steadfast in promoting unity, inclusiveness, and commitment in its advocacy for the rights and development of Ijaw women.

The charge was delivered when the leadership of the Ijaw Women Rights’ Protection Forum, led by its National President, Comrade Hilda Amogha, paid a courtesy visit to the INC President on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Speaking during the meeting, High Chief Igbadiwei encouraged the Forum to intensify its efforts with sincerity, patience, dedication, and teamwork. He emphasized the need for the organization to carry both Ijaw men and women along in its activities, stressing that inclusiveness is essential to advancing justice, protecting women’s rights, preserving dignity, and achieving sustainable development across Ijaw communities.

The INC President also underscored the importance of working collectively, noting that unity and cooperation among stakeholders would strengthen the Forum’s impact and contribute to the overall progress of the Ijaw nation.

Responding on behalf of the Forum, Comrade Hilda Amogha described the visit as productive and inspiring, expressing appreciation to the INC President for the warm reception and valuable fatherly advice. She said his words of encouragement had further strengthened the resolve of the organization to remain focused on its mission of promoting the rights, dignity, and welfare of Ijaw women and girls.

Amogha reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to building stronger partnerships, fostering unity, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve lasting progress for Ijaw women, declaring that collective effort remains the key to sustainable development.

The courtesy visit formed part of the Ijaw Women Rights’ Protection Forum’s ongoing engagement with critical stakeholders aimed at advancing its vision of “Justice for Women, Dignity, and Change.”
