Injury: Victor Osimhen To Miss UEFA Champions League First Leg

Victor Osimhen will miss Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League first-leg Quarter final against AC Milan.

One of the most in-form strikers in the world this season, Victor Osimhen had been ruled out of the first-leg quater final clash against AC Milan.

According to Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis said Victor Osimhen is not in a position to face AC Milan on Wednesday.

The Partenopei would travel to San Siro for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie.

Osimhen picked up a muscle injury while representing Nigeria late last month.

Napoli were hoping the forward would be available to face the current Serie A champions but would have to look for another option.

“Victor is not in a position to play, unfortunately. We hope to have him back for the return fixture at the Maradona on April 18,” De Laurentiis stated.

Osimhen had scored four goals in five appearances in the Champions League this season.
