IPF, Bayelsa Youth Commissioner Parley Ahead Of Dec Conference

Following the ongoing stakeholders engagement by the organisers of the event, the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum, IPF has paid a courtesy visit to the commissioner for Youth in Bayelsa State, Hon. Alfred Kemepado in collaborative efforts towards the Ijaw media conference 2024.
The Central Working Committee, CWC, paid him the visit at his office on Tuesday. The visit was part of the critical stakeholders engagement of the body ahead of the conference.
The maiden media conference is scheduled to be held on December 11, 2024, in Bayelsa State. The Commissioner for Youth, Bayelsa State, has pledged support and participation in the groundbreaking event.
The programme which Theme Tagged “Advancing the Quest for Economic/Political Freedom in a Siege Nation,” aimed at bringing together leaders and stakeholders to explore innovative solutions for the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta’s economic growth. The event promised to foster economic discourse and empower indigenous media professionals.
The commissioner of youth, Kemepado applauded the objectives behind the establishment of the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum, citing that Ijaws will write their story better than any outside story teller.
He further stated that any initiative that tends to promote Ijaw nation would receive support from critical stakeholders and leaders of the state.
The IPF delegation which was led by its Central Working Committee, CWC, chairman, Comrade Ozobo Austin, composed of MMD Tamsokunbiri CEO of Kpakam Tv, committee member, Mr Sunday Ayemofaye, CEO, Ogulagha Vanguard/Committee Secretary and Mr Benjamin Tamaradoubra, CEO, Ijaw Heritage Tv, committee member.
The Delegation further congratulated the youth commissioner on his well deserved appointment, while the commissioner promised robust collaborative efforts in strengthening Ijaw development and empowerment of Ijaw Indigenous Media.
