JUST IN: Council Chair, Oromoni Endorses Gbenekama-Led Odidi Exco, Urges Govt Agencies, Oil Firms, Others to Work With Them

The Warri South-West Local Government Council has formally introduced the newly constituted Executive Committee of the Odidi Federated Community, following a stakeholders’ meeting convened by the council chairman.
In a letter dated 20th May, 2026, the council stated that the committee was recognised and adopted after its members were elected by the community and sworn into office on 13th May, 2026. The 20-member executive will manage the affairs of the federated community for a four-year term.
The council listed Comr. Truston Gbenekama as Chairman, with Mr. Jacob Ekponimi serving as Vice Chairman. Other principal officers include Chief Bene Mamamu as Secretary, Bishop Favour Okrikpa-Deribi as Assistant Secretary, Mr. Charles Meneko as Treasurer, and Chief Terry Ogisi as Public Relations Officer.
However, Barr. Clarkson Aribogha was named Legal Adviser, while Mr. Clement Konkemele and Mr. Sunday Kulele will serve as Financial Secretary and Assistant Financial Secretary respectively. Other members of the committee included Chief Ekankumoh Egbegha, Mr. Solomon Aribogha, Mr. Augustine Aribogha, Mr. Akpos Numah, Mr. William Atunu, Mr. John Jolomi, Miss Beauty Okiri, Mr. Theophilus Lokiri, Mr. Louis Okporo, and Mr. Godwin Kuku.
The council called on government agencies, corporate organizations, security institutions, and the general public to accord the committee the necessary recognition, cooperation, and support in carrying out its mandate.
The introduction was signed by Mr Christopher Tonwe, Secretary to the Local Government, on behalf of the Executive Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Council.
