JUST IN: Oborevwori Loses Mother In-law

• As Speaker Guwor, Others Pay Condolence Visit

The governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has lost his mother in-law Madam Agnes Ayetoma Ataga, mother of the first lady of the state, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori.

This was followed by a condolence visit by the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor among others.

Following the demise of the mother of the first lady, the speaker had led members of the State house to Evwreni Community in Ughelli North local government area of Delta State, Sunday for condolence visit.

Guwor added that the late mother-in-law to the Governor lived a fulfilled life, noting that the death was a monumental loss to the State as her motherly counsel would be greatly missed.

The speaker was accompanied by his deputy Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, Majority Leader, Emeka Nwaobi, Principal Officers and some members.

The lawmaker maintained that the bond of friendship between the Executive and the Legislative arms of government is all-encompassing, even in times of travails, positing that what affects the first family, affects the entire State being represented by the twenty-nine members of the state legislature.

He consoled the bereaved family to take solace as their mother was a virtuous woman, emphasising that her positive impact on the lives of many people would be forever remembered.

According to him, the State Assembly would be deeply involved in ensuring a befitting burial for the late woman who is also survived by nine grand children and one great-grandchild.

His words, “mama lived a fulfilled life. She was a vitreous who always wanted everyone around her to be taken care of. The same virtue she bequeathed on her daughter, Her Excellency Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, wife of the Governor of Delta State.

“On behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, I pray God give Her Excellency and His Excellency and the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. And may mama gentle soul rest in the bosom of the Lord”, he added.
