JUST IN: Oluyede Confirmed as New Army Chief

The House of Representatives have confirmed Olufemi Oluyede as the new Chief of Army Staff, COAS.

Meanwhile the validation came after a report was presented by chairman of the Committee on Defense, Babajimi Benson.

However, the Joint Committee for Army and Defense had screened Oluyede on Wednesday.

Recall that Oluyede was appointed by President Bola Tinubu as the Acting COAS because of the ill health of the former Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja, who later died.
