Just In: Reps endorse senate call on Buhari to proscribe bandits

Nigeria House of Representatives has thrown weight behind the Senate’s earlier call for the proscription of bandits as terrorists group in the country.

They called on President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to designate bandits, who have dominated the North-West and parts of the North-Central geopolitical zones, as terrorists.

The Senate had made the call earlier on Wednesday.

The House Committee on Defence Chairman, Babajimi Benson, at the plenary on Thursday, moved a motion of urgent public importance to urge the chamber to back the Senate.
