JUST IN: Saudi Arabia Shuts Down Pipeline After Attack By Rebels

Saudi Arabia has temporarily shut down a major oil pipeline following an attack claimed by Houthi rebels, authorities confirmed.

The shutdown was carried out as a precautionary measure to assess damage and ensure the safety of workers and facilities after the strike targeted key pipeline infrastructure.

Officials said there were no immediate reports of casualties, but the attack disrupted the flow of crude through the affected line. Teams have been deployed to carry out inspections and begin repairs.

The Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in response to ongoing operations in Yemen.

Saudi energy officials stated that alternative routes are being used to maintain oil exports and that the impact on global supplies is being contained. The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its energy infrastructure and called the attack “a direct threat to global energy security.”

Meantime, Security around oil and gas facilities in the region has been heightened following the incident.
