Kidnapping: Worst-hit councils in Abuja include Abaji, Kuje, Bwari

By Hannah Nathan, Warri
The local councils most negatively impacted by kidnapping are Abaji, Bwari, and Kuje, according to the Federal Capital Territory Administration, (FCTA).
During the year-end media briefing on the department’s operations, Ebele Molokwu, the Director of Administration and Finance, FCTA, Security Services Department, revealed this.
She claimed that those councils were typically involved in the majority of the territory’s kidnapping incidents.
She, however, disclosed that the other area councils had a few isolated cases.
Molokwu stated that the councils are bordered by several states that have a reputation for kidnapping and said that the bandits would retreat to such states in the event of an attack.
According to her, the administration is resolved to investigate the area for both kidnapping and one-chance syndicates.
The security committee, according to Department Director Adamu Gwary, had been split into two groups, the kinetic group, which consists of the main security services, and the non-kinetic group, which included the traditional rulers and other pertinent parties.
