LG Poll: Ozobo Consults Fmr Burutu First Lady, Mrs Eunice Angozi, Seeks Motherly Blessings

The president of the foremost Ijaw Publishers’ Forum, IPF, and Chairmanship Aspirant of the forthcoming Burutu Local government Council election in Delta State, has paid a consultative visit to the First Democratic, first lady Hon. Mrs Eunice Angozi to seek for motherly blessings and admonitions.

Speaking at the visit, Ozobo appreciated the former first lady for her contributions in keeping the party afloat in Burutu since 1999 till date.

He also commended her for influencing employment for many Burutu graduates, adding that her presence in government is a blessing to Burutu people.

Emphasising on his Blueprint, Ozobo assured Burutu people of running an inclusive administration when elected. He cited youth and women empowerment, education, health care, light, security and others as key priorities when assumed office.

In response, pioneer democratic first lady, Mrs Eunice Angozi who doubled as the second member of the State post primary school board stated that she was aware of Ozobo’s chairmanship ambition, adding that he doesn’t need to come to consult her, and that her prayers are always with him.

She equally emphasised that in spite of the numerous aspirants in Burutu LGA chairmanship race, the leadership could identify those who are camouflaging and those who are truly in the race.

Mrs Angozi said Ozobo’s ability to provide people-oriented services to Burutu people is not in doubt following his antecedents.

She also agreed that there is need to advance Burutu development and provide a platform for the underprivileged people to strive and irked a living.

Mrs Angozi commended Ozobo’s bold steps and courage for the rigorous campaigns, coupled with full participation of the Niger Delta Struggle.

However, she prayed for more strength and courage for him, and as well as coasting to victory with greater support from God, Burutu leadership and the amiable governor of Delta State.
