Ministerial: Senate Committee To Confirm Bianca Ojukwu, 6 Others

President Bola Tinubu has made six new Ministerial appointments and
written to the Senate, seeking for the screening and subsequent confirmation of the nominees in Abuja
Congress learnt that the President request was contained in a letter addressed to the Senate President Godswill Akpabio and read during plenary on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the letter stated the Ministerial nominees; Dr Nentawe Yilwatda , Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi , Minister of Labour and Employment and Bianca Odinaka Odumegu – Ojukwu , Minister of State, Foreign Affairs .
Others are Dr Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry , Trade and Development , Idi Muktar Maiha , Minister of Livestock Development , Rt Hon Yusuf Abdullahi Ata , Minister of State, Housing and Dr Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Minister of State, Education.
However, Tinubu in the letter seek quick consideration of his request by the Senate.
Meanwhile, the Senate President, Akpabio has promptly referred the President request to the Committee for immediate consideration.
He said, ” Distinguished colleagues , the presidential request is referred to the committee of the whole for consideration very soon.”
After the request got to the red Chamber on its last day of their sitting’ the Senate may commence
screening after getting the required documents of the nominees Ministers on Wednesday next week.
