Mixed reactions as Wike, Buhari meet amid PDP crisis

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has finally met with President Muhammadu Buhari after seven years of cool war and banter.

It was gathered that the president and Wike met in Abuja during the commissioning of the Body of Benchers Complex on Friday.

Recall, Wike for the past seven years had refused to attend council meetings with the president and had severally called the present administration a failed one.

It was learned Wike who refused to attend the PDP campaign council inauguration in Abuja on Wednesday joyously met the president and exchanged pleasantry with him.

The Chairman of the Body Of Benchers, Wole Olanipekun said the Rivers State Government under the leadership of Wike donated N500m to the construction of the edifice.

Though the action of the Rivers state governor has been outrightly condemned by the PDP party faithful, they described his action as an act of betrayal.
