The late singer Mohbad’s mother, Promise Aloba, has asked the Nigerians in general and the Federal Government to assist in determining what caused her son’s premature demise.

She made the call today, September 21, when Nollywood stars Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo paid the family a condolence visit in Lagos together with Senator Elisha Abbo, Chairman of the House Committee on Entertainment Economy.

Addressing the visitors in Yoruba, Aloba said that Naira Marley, the head of the Marlian Record label, was responsible for her son’s passing on.

The late singer mother asked the public to help her examine the situation more thoroughly.
According to The News Agency of Nigeria, Mohbad, who is 27 years old, was once signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Records before quitting the record company in 2022.

“He was always telling me to guide him so he would not be killed; these were all he was saying until they finally killed him. Please help me.”

Speaking, Abbo assured Mohbad’s mother of protection and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise.

Son had consistently stated that Naira Marley and other people were a real threat to his life.

“I know my son; he told me that Naira Marley usually threatened him,” Aloba stated in tears.

“That is all you can do for me, Nigerians, so please help me find him and have mercy on me. I can’t pull him out by myself. Additionally, he informed me that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had previously given him some water in a bottle to drink. Please lend a hand.

“My son was consistently beaten. Even though he mentioned Sam Larry, I am not familiar with them. My son was enslaved by them.

“All he ever said was that he needed me to lead him so he wouldn’t be killed. These were the only things he said up until they killed him. Please assist me”.

Speaking, Abbo told Mohbad’s mother that she would be safe and that the circumstances of his death would be looked into.

Meantime, the Police Command in Lagos State declared that it had finished exhuming Mohbad’s body in order to do an autopsy as part of an ongoing investigation into his passing.
