Mulade displays jerseys, trophies for peace, unity tournament in Delta

Comrade (Chief) Sheriff Mulade, National Coordinator of the Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), has unveiled jerseys and trophies for the Delta Ethnic Peace and Unity Football Tournament.

The tournament, scheduled for November 16, 2024, aimed to promote peaceful coexistence among ethnic groups in Delta Central and Delta South.

This year’s event has been expanded to include four ethnic groups: Itsekiri, Ijaw, Isoko, and Urhobo. The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, will kick-off the tournament, and a total of N5 million in prizes will be awarded to the winners.

The event is part of CEPEJ’s efforts to promote peace and unity in the state.
