Naira Notes Saga: Police arrest 9 suspects over burning of Banks in Delta

The Delta State Police Command has arrested about nine suspects in connection with the burning of three banks and two vehicles in Udu local government area of Delta State on Wednesday.

This was contained in a post made by the police spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe on his Twitter handle on Wednesday.

According to Edafe, some miscreants set ablaze about two banks and two vehicles in Udu in the name of protest, adding that the act is completely condemnable.

Though, it was gathered by our reporter who visited the scenes that three banks and two vehicles were burnt in the Udu LGA.

Meanwhile, the police did not disclose how the suspects were apprehended in less than few minutes from the incident.

The statement reads, “In UDU LGA of Delta State, some unguided youths/miscreants in the name of protest have set two banks and two vehicles ablaze. We have arrested nine suspects so far. Some persons will still call this protest.
