The wish of Senator Godswill Akpabio to become the next Senate president may hit the rock as the president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has started withdrawing his support for him. Godswill Akpabio, who is the former Minority Leader may not be the next Senate president.

Earlier, the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, APC, announced the need for Senator Godswill Akpabio as the anointed candidate with three others as the forerunner for the positions of the National Assembly.

The former Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio who is from the South-South was approved for the Senate president, while Senator Jubril Barau from North West was approved as Deputy senate president, and Tajudeen Abass, from North West, was approved for House of Representatives, in addition to Kanu, South East for deputy speaker.

However, the chances of Senator Godswill Akpabio becoming the Senate president is very slim as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has withdrawn his support. However, time will tell who will finally wear the crown as the game plays on!
