Leading Niger Delta rights activist, Comrade Ozobo Austin, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is behind the death of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, and the miserable state of the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty program in the country.

The activist, in a statement on Thursday morning, said the Buhari administration is in a desperate move to weaken and kill NDDC and bury it to glorify his Islamic agenda in the country.

He retorted that Buhari can’t claim to love Niger Delta when he is killing potential federal government parastatals in the region.

Ozobo added that the delay in inaugurating the NDDC and presidential amnesty substantive boards and trillions that have disappeared in both institutions in Buhari’s administration is unacceptable and a total disservice to Niger Delta.

He maintained that the continued delay in the inauguration of NDDC and presidential amnesty substantive boards may incite avoidable conflict in the Niger Delta region.

Ozobo appealed to all well-meaning Niger Delta aborigines to wake up from their slumber and speak out against the Buhari move to weaken and kill federal government institutions in the region.

He further called on Buhari to immediately inaugurate NDDC and presidential amnesty substantive boards if there should be no other oil conflict in the Niger Delta region.
