President Muhammadu Buhari has threatened to jail criminal elements involved in the misappropriation of six trillion naira appropriated to the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, over the years.

The president stated this through the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami while receiving the forensic audit report in Abuja.

The Report has earlier revealed that about 13.777 projects awarded by those at the helms of affairs were abandoned.

During the presentation of the audit report, Buhari added that no one indicted for shady deals in the NDDC would be spared no matter how highly placed.

The President had ordered that the report be made available to the Federal Ministry of Justice for legal advice, which will pave way for the prosecution of the indicted people.

However, the audit report was presented by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
