NDLEA Seizes Fake $20m On Abuja-Lokoja Highway

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have seized counterfeit $20 million during a stop and search operation along Abaji-Lokoja highway.

This is according to a statement by NDLEA Spokesman, Femi Babafemi, said the counterfeit money was found in a bus traveling from Lagos to Abuja.

The bus driver, Onyebuchi Nlededin, aged 53, was apprehended.

Recall, Tlthe agency had earlier seized illicit drugs worth billions of naira from a warehouse in the International Trade Fair Complex, Alaba, Ojo area of Lagos State.

The seizure included 1.4 million pills of tramadol; 3.2 million pills of codeine; and about 3000 cartons of codeine syrup.

The illicit drugs have a combined street value of N4.82 billion.
