Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum Condoles with Rotimi Amaechi Over Mother’s Passing

The Pro-ADC Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum, comprising beneficiaries and leaders of Phases 1, 2, and 3 of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the mother of former Rivers State Governor and former Minister of Transportation, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.

The group described the death of Dame Ezinne Mary Orduah Amaechi, who passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 89, as a painful loss not only to the Amaechi family but also to the nation.

The Forum noted that although death is inevitable, Mama Ezinne lived a fulfilled life and departed at a ripe old age, for which they thanked God.

According to the statement, the late matriarch was a respected community leader, a peaceful, compassionate, and kind-hearted woman who served as a rallying point for Catholic women. Her unwavering devotion to God and commitment to humanity were described as exemplary and worthy of emulation.

The Forum said it joins political leaders, party faithful, friends, and all Nigerians in mourning the passing of the revered matriarch, praying that God grants her eternal rest.

Addressing Rt. Hon. Amaechi directly, the Forum urged him to remain strong and take solace in God, stressing that his mother lived a worthy life and was called home in God’s own time.

The statement further expressed confidence that her prayers, legacy, and cherished memories would continue to inspire and strengthen him as he pursues the next phase of his political journey, praying that it ends in success and brings glory to God.

The Forum concluded by praying that the soul of Dame Ezinne Mary Orduah Amaechi rests in perfect peace.
