Nigeria Hosts African Green Industrialisation Talks
By Micheal Chukwuebuka
Twenty African countries are in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city for the Africa Green Industrialization Initiative Technical summit aimed at aligning national strategies and policies with regional value chains to drive Africa’s green industrial opportunity.
The two-day engagement being hosted by the National Council on Climate Change NCCC brings together participating countries and partner institutions to identify opportunities for regional collaboration, strengthen policy coordination and advance investment-ready green industrial projects across the continent.
The initiative also seeks to help African countries leverage their renewable energy resources, critical minerals, growing workforce and the African Continental Free Trade Area to promote value addition, create jobs and build globally competitive low-carbon industries.
