Renowned Ijaw group, the Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI has warned Itsekiri National Development Initiative, INDI, to desist from making false claims about Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko lands, adding that those Itsekiri fanning the embers of another war in Warri should not only dispatch innocent Itsekiri Youths to the war but also prepare to send their children, themselves and siblings to the war.

The group described the Itsekiri group making false claims as land grabbers and bad guests, saying Itsekiri doesn’t have any land in Okerenkoko, Warri South-West Local Government Area, and can’t cede what doesn’t belong to them.

This is according to a statement signed by its national president, Comrade Ozobo Austin on Saturday, Warning Itsekiri’s again the danger of asking for the trouble of Ijaw people in Warri South-West.

IPDI advised that; Itsekiri’s who want to die to claim neighbours’ land would die foolishly and shamefully, saying that Ijaws would continue to defend their land not with their last blood but with their resources.

The group challenged Itsekiri nation to publish any Supreme court judgment referring to Okerenkoko as Okerenghigho or publish any judgment that says Nigeria Maritime University land belongs to Itsekiri nation, adding that telling President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the national assembly to obey a nonexisting court judgement is misleading and at the same time and act of cowardice, Ijaws will not, and cannot respect any black market judgment.

However, IPDI berated the Itsekiri group for attacking Ijaw National leader, Chief Pa Edwin Clark, saying that only vagabonds would insult people’s father, adding that if charlatans under INDI are the only people left to speak for Itsekiri, then Itsekiri is finished, powerless and weak

The group averred that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is the father of the country can’t be cowed to do the wrong thing.
